Farscan’s E-Commerce team is looking for a proven leader with
marketing experience and a passion for online retailing (website
development, analytics, merchandising, social media, lead generation,
and search engine optimization) for our new Indian office in Kochi.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive sales revenue and bottom-line profit by developing
online marketing strategy that encompasses social media and
community strategy, CPC campaigns and SEO.
- Develop and manage CPC campaigns including keyword research
and optimization
- Research and implement website & product/merchandising changes
based on insights drawn from site analysis & competitive market
analysis that will improve overall performance of
channel traffic & customer experience.
- Manage affiliate / partner programs and identify new sources
of traffic and revenue. Communicate with related blogging and
forum communities to promote clients sites.
- Create, manage and optimize shopping feeds as needed for
portals such as Google Products, Nextag, Shopzilla etc.
- Co-Develop and manage online marketing and promotional
calendars, including campaigns and promotional offers
- Work with support teams to create/update products for client
ecommerce portals (product images, descriptions, cross promote,
online merchandising)
- Develop and execute link building strategies to improve Search
Engine ranking
- Implement e-mail marketing programs, testing, list management
and reporting on e-mail performance. Make sure e-mail channel is
optimized and implement e-mail database growth strategies
- Create microsites or landing pages for seasonal promotions or
new content areas
- Optimize web pages with proper tags, content, description
- Co-Develop informational and promotional content as well as
press releases for on and offline media.
Requirements for the Online Marketing Specialist position
include:
- 5+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years in
online/web marketing including SEO/SEM, email programs, display
ads, affiliate marketing and social media
- Significant experience with online social networking, the
blogosphere, search tools and general Web 2.0 (Twitter, LinkedIn,
Facebook, YouTube, Wikipedia, etc.)
- Proven ability to do on-page analysis, content review and
on-page optimization for large E-Commerce sites (1000+ pages)
- Must have analytical skills, customer focus, and ability to
motivate/engage others.
- Strong knowledge and passion for online marketing, including
email and outbound marketing, landing pages and campaign analytics
- Experience using common web analytics tools such as Google
Analytics and Omniture
- Excellent organizational skills and extremely detail oriented
- Strong understanding of consumer product marketing and the
internet
- Technical savvy: basic-Intermediate understanding of HTML.
Understanding of CSS, JavaScript, and basic database theory a plus
- Experience working with Amazon and other external internet
sales channels is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
- Strong written and oral English communication skills
- Degree in Business, marketing or communications
