Farscan is looking for a highly-skilled Web Designer who will work at our new
Kerala Office in India, creating new website designs and updating
existing website designs.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, Develop & Test new Front-End Interfaces for complex web applications.
- Build & Manage stand-alone Web 2.0 style websites with rich media content.
- Teleconference with clients & US team to discuss design options and functionality.
Requirements for the Web
Designer position include:
- 3-4 years’ Experience of Web 2.0 style client / Front-end
web development with the following background / experience;
- HTML, CSS and at least one JavaScript framework (E.g.: JQuery)
- Advanced
Object oriented programming with JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, JSON, HTML/XHTML, JSPs, Servlets, Custom
Tag libraries
- Managing cross browser compatibility issues, (FF, IE, Safari, Chrome, etc.)

Developing high performance websites and managing common design and JavaScript libraries across
multiple sites
- Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or
Microsoft Development Tools (Visual Studio and Sliver Light)
experience
- Strong written and oral English communication skills
- Aptitude with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT, etc.)
- Practical knowledge of software
development life cycle
with graphic design for print (in addition
to web) and knowledge of client/server application development using PHP/SQL is a plus- Degree
in Computer Science, Graphic Design or communications
